AIRLINE TRAVELER MARTIAL ARTS

Next time you drive to the airport to take off for a week – wouldn’t it be nice to know how to defend yourself if you were attacked on an airplane, in an airport, or anywhere for the matter of fact.

W. Dan Hausel of Gilbert, Arizona announced that he will start training people in airline traveler self-defense, using a simple ninja weapon (the belt you use to hold up your pants!). This 14-time Hall of Fame inductee indicates that you do not need to be a grandmaster or even a black belt to learn to defend yourself in such critical, close-quarters, by using a belt or a small rope that can be carried essentially anywhere.

This martial art is actually designed around the ancient art of ninjutsu and jujutsu and is very effective against terrorists or just the neighborhood mugger. Hausel’s students learn this new martial art, termed manriki, in a few short months so that they can walk with confidence.

Hausel is a grandmaster in Shorin-Ryu karate and kobudo (ancient martial arts weapons) and has been developing different aspects of the martial arts for many years.  He was the 2004 Instructor of the Year, 2003 International Grandmaster of the Year, 2002 Grandmaster of the Year & 2001 International Instructor of the Year and has been inducted into 14 different Halls of Fame including the International Black Belt Hall of Fame, American Karate Association’s Hall of Fame, the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the North American Black Belt Hall of Fame, and the World Karate Union Hall of Fame.
